We are a volunteer organization based in Cañon City, Colorado, which can best be described as a retirement community nestled in the Banana Belt of Colorado. Recognizing the potential talent of our local community, founder, Nan Sullivan, started her journey to enlist the help of our beautiful senior population.

Every child needs a "softie" hand made just for them. Many of us have family heirlooms that we cherish. The art of knitting, crocheting or quilting is a gift that is often passed from generation to generation. And who needs a hug and soft touch more than a child suddenly without a permanent home. That is what we provide. A gift from our hands and hearts to wrap around them and remind them that someone somewhere does care.

A mother of three beautiful girls, Tiffany, Erica and Jillian I know how each of my girls valued their special "softie."  

And as I researched adoption, I realized it was impossible for my husband and I to adopt all the kids that I so desperately wanted to help.  So I decided to touch as many children as I could, and Warm the World was created.
